CREATIVE DIRECTOR GORDON AKWERA SPEAKS AT SWEDISH IIID EVENT
June, 2008 - Addison Creative Director Gordon Akwera spoke on simplification through information design at the June 2008 International Conference on Applications of Information Design in Eskilstuna, Sweden.

Gordon presented two case studies that illustrate the typical complexities of 21st century communication:
  • Executive Compensation and Analysis
  • Design Impact on New York City Parking Signs
In each of these projects, Addison’s approach demonstrates how information designers are applying key skills and tools, such as co-creation, design research and visualization, to address complicated issues.

Held in cooperation with the International Institute for Information Design (IIID), the annual gathering serves as a global forum for information design practitioners. In addition to Gordon, 30 participants from 14 nations spoke on information design applications in the fields of health care, cultural information, economic and financial information, public information systems, technical information and wayfinding information.
